Cancer Acupuncture Support

Compassionate, Whole-Person Support Alongside Your Cancer Care

A cancer diagnosis touches the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. At HopeSpring Wellness in Bellevue, we offer gentle, evidence-informed acupuncture designed to support your comfort, resilience, and quality of life while you move through treatment and recovery. Our care is intended to work alongside your oncology team, never in place of it. We are here to help you feel more like yourself again.

Hope Spring's Unique Approach

Supportive care rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, guided by modern understanding.

Acupuncture does not treat cancer itself. What it can do — and what leading cancer centers and professional oncology guidelines increasingly recognize — is help ease many of the burdens that come with cancer and its treatment. Our role is supportive and integrative: we work quietly in the background to help you tolerate treatment more comfortably, rest more deeply, and preserve your sense of vitality.

Every plan begins with an unhurried consultation. We review your diagnosis, your current treatments, your medications, and how you are truly feeling. From there, we design a gentle, individualized approach — using fine acupuncture, and where appropriate acupressure, moxibustion, and carefully selected herbal or nutritional guidance — always coordinated with the care your oncologist and medical team provide. Because your safety comes first, we adapt our techniques to your blood counts, energy, and stage of treatment, and we welcome open communication with your providers.

Easing the Side Effects of Chemotherapy & Radiation

The physical toll of treatment can be significant. Acupuncture is one of the most studied integrative approaches for helping to soften these effects. Research and major oncology guidelines support the use of acupuncture to help relieve treatment-related nausea, to help manage certain kinds of cancer-related and treatment-related pain, and to help ease the tingling and discomfort of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy. Many patients also turn to acupuncture to help with fatigue, appetite, dry mouth, and joint aches associated with hormonal therapies. Our goal is simple: to help you stay more comfortable, so you can continue the treatment that matters most.

Emotional Balance & Restful Sleep

The emotional weight of a diagnosis can be as heavy as the physical one. Anxiety, low mood, and sleepless nights are common companions through treatment. Acupuncture may help by encouraging the body's relaxation response, calming an overactive nervous system, and supporting more restful, restorative sleep. Patients often describe their sessions as a rare hour of stillness — a chance to breathe, soften, and set down the stress for a while. This whole-person, mind-body-spirit approach is at the heart of everything we do.

Immune Resilience & Renewed Vitality

Cancer treatment asks a great deal of the body's reserves. Traditional Chinese Medicine has long focused on nourishing what it calls the body's foundational energy, or qi, to support strength and recovery. In modern terms, our supportive care aims to help you rebuild energy, encourage healthy circulation, and restore a sense of balance and well-being — both during active treatment and through the important months of survivorship and recovery that follow. We are here for the whole journey, not just a single moment in it.

A Note on Safety & Coordination

Acupuncture, when provided by a licensed, experienced practitioner, is regarded as a low-risk supportive therapy. We take extra care with patients who have low blood counts, lymphedema risk, or ports and devices, and we adjust our approach accordingly. We always encourage you to keep your oncology team informed, and we are glad to communicate with them directly. Acupuncture is intended to complement — never replace — the guidance and treatment of your physicians.
