Prediction tools for random games
It turns out that prediction tools for random games, like those found in some online apps, are a really tricky subject. I've seen a few of these tools advertised, claiming to predict outcomes in games that are by definition random, and it always makes me skeptical. My friend recently started using one for an online game and was convinced it was helping, but then he lost a lot. How much trust can you really put into prediction tools when the underlying mechanics are designed to be unpredictable? Are there certain types of random games where these tools are more reliable than others, or is it always a gamble?
