NEW PATIENT ORIENTATION
Welcome to Hopespring Wellness
We’re pleased to welcome you to our clinic. To help make your first visit and ongoing treatments as comfortable and efficient as possible, please review the following information before your appointment.
Preparing for Your Appointment
Please stay well hydrated before your appointment and avoid arriving on an empty stomach. We recommend eating a light meal or snack within a few hours of your treatment, as some patients may experience temporary lightheadedness during or after acupuncture.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows your practitioner to easily access areas such as your arms, legs, abdomen, or back when needed.
For your first visit, please bring:
-
A valid photo ID
-
Your current insurance card, if you plan to use insurance
-
A list of your current medications and supplements
-
Any relevant medical information or recent test results you would like your practitioner to review
If you are coming for facial acupuncture or microneedling, please arrive with a clean face or minimal makeup whenever possible. You may continue your usual skincare routine unless your practitioner has given you different instructions.
Arrival and Check-In
For your first appointment, please arrive approximately 15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork, insurance information, or consent forms. When you arrive, please check in at the front desk. Our team will help you get settled and answer any questions you may have before your appointment. For future visits, please arrive on time so that we can provide your full scheduled treatment.
Your First Visit
Your initial visit includes a comprehensive consultation and evaluation. Your practitioner will review your health history, current concerns, medications and supplements when relevant, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. Based on this assessment, your practitioner will discuss an individualized treatment plan with you. Depending on your condition and treatment goals, your care may include acupuncture and other appropriate services offered at Hopespring Wellness. Please feel free to ask questions at any point during your visit. We want you to understand your treatment plan and feel comfortable with your care.
24-Hour Cancellation Policy
We understand that schedules can change. However, appointment times are reserved specifically for each patient, and adequate notice allows us to offer the appointment to someone else who may be waiting for care. We require at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to the following fees:
-
Late cancellation: $100
-
No-show: $135
Please contact our office as soon as possible if you need to make a change to your appointment.
Financial and Insurance Policy
Payment is due at the time of service, including applicable copays, coinsurance, deductibles, self-pay charges, and services not covered by insurance.
Hopespring Wellness currently accepts and is in-network with only the following three insurance plans:
-
Premera
-
Regence
-
Aetna
Coverage varies significantly between individual plans. Being insured by one of these companies does not necessarily mean that your specific plan includes acupuncture benefits or that Hopespring Wellness is in-network under your particular policy.
As a courtesy, our office may verify your insurance benefits; however, information provided by your insurance company is not a guarantee of coverage or payment. Patients are ultimately responsible for understanding their benefits and for charges that are not paid by their insurance plan.
We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid plans, and we do not accept an insurance plan when it is being used as a secondary or supplemental plan to Medicare or Medicaid. This applies even when the secondary insurer is Premera, Regence, or Aetna.
If you do not have applicable insurance coverage or prefer not to use insurance, self-pay options are available. Please contact our office for additional information.
Changes in Insurance
Please notify our front desk before your appointment if your insurance coverage has changed.
Bring your new insurance card and photo ID so that we can update your information. Failure to provide updated insurance information may result in claims being denied, and you may be responsible for the charges associated with your visit.
After Your Treatment
Most patients can return to their normal daily activities after acupuncture. We recommend staying hydrated and paying attention to how your body responds following treatment.Occasionally, patients may experience temporary soreness, bruising, fatigue, lightheadedness, or changes in symptoms after treatment. Your practitioner will discuss any specific post-treatment recommendations that apply to your care. If you have questions or concerns following your treatment, please contact our office.
