David has devoted to his path of pursuing and practicing healing medicine since he was 15 years old, where he became self-taught in meditation and qigong. In 2006 he obtained his license in Chinese Medicine from Bastyr University, one of the most prestigious schools in Complementary Medicine in the United States.

David is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and continues to be devoted to progressing his expertise in Oriental Medicine. This includes:

  • Advanced Qigong Therapy with renowned Qigong Master Zhao Xue-Zhong

  • Chinese Auricular Medicine with Dr Li-Chun Huang, who is considered to be the ‘Mother of Contemporary Auricular Medicine 

  • Pulse Diagnostic System with well-known scholar Chong-He Wang

  • Advanced TCM Therapeutic Tui-Na with Taiwan Chiropractic Association 

  • Acupuncture training for stroke and spinal injury patients with Dr Zhu Scalp


Not only is David a life-long student of Complementary Medicine, but he is also a trailblazer for creating effective ways for people to heal and find hope. His most recent accomplishments include: 

  • 2012: Creating the first Postpartum Recovery Program in the Pacific Northwest, which has benefited numerous mothers’ recovery from childbirth. David works closely with birthing professionals to promote and enhance postpartum wellness and recovery. 

  • 2018: Introduced the first Korean facial acupuncture in Seattle. David uses this treatment to promote the health and beauty of the face and it has been met with widespread demand in the community. 

  • 2021: Found HopeSpring Wellness, the first holistic medical spa in Seattle. It is here that David’s work truly sets him apart from other practitioners, as he focuses on the mind and body connection.
